What is IBM’s Watson?

That’s right, the question-answering supercomputer developed by IBM that famously dethroned a throng of the world’s smartest humans on Jeopardy! back in 2011 may be an answer for streamlining healthcare and improving outcomes for patients.

Healthcare applications for Watson are already in development, but can it really handle the heavy lifting that is gleefully imagined? And more importantly, can it be applied to healthcare marketing?
